Loomly alternatives: what are the best 10 alternatives

By Andrei Last updated: September 8, 2026 10 min read

The best Loomly alternative for most teams in 2026 is SchedPilot, which covers 20 social accounts for $35 a month against Loomly Starter’s 12 accounts for $65, and offers an Enterprise plan with 10 seats and approval workflows for $79 where Loomly’s next step up is $332. If approvals are the only reason you picked Loomly, Planable does them better. SocialPilot is the value pick for agencies, Publer and Metricool are the free options, and Hootsuite or Sprout Social are where you go if you need social listening and have the budget for it.

Every price here was checked in the first week of September 2026.

Loomly’s own pricing has changed twice since early 2025, so anything you read that quotes a $26 or $32 Base plan is describing a product that no longer exists.

What changed at Loomly, and why people are leaving

Bending Spoons (the company behind Evernote, WeTransfer and Meetup) bought Loomly on January 2, 2025. Within a year the four-tier price list was gone. What’s left is this:

  • Starter: $65 a month, or $49 billed yearly. 12 social accounts, 3 users.
  • Beyond: $332 a month, or $249 yearly. 60 accounts, unlimited users, custom workflows, custom branding.
  • Enterprise: custom quote, 61+ accounts.
  • Free plan: none. There’s a trial (Loomly’s own pages list it as both 7 and 15 days).

The problem isn’t the $65. Plenty of tools cost that. The problem is the cliff. Add a fourth user or a thirteenth account and you’re forced onto Beyond, which is a 410% jump with no seat or account add-on in between. That single design decision is behind most of the “leaving Loomly” threads on Reddit.

Two smaller things worth knowing before you compare Loomly competitors:

  • Loomly doesn’t support Threads or Bluesky, and several 2026 reviews report that X is missing from its integrations page as well. Check this yourself in the trial if X is part of your mix.
  • Longtime users on Trustpilot and G2 describe human support being replaced by a chatbot after the acquisition. Those are user reports, not something we can verify, but there are a lot of them.

1. SchedPilot, flat pricing with no cliff

SchedPilot is our tool, so weigh this section accordingly. It’s first because its plan structure is the direct opposite of what pushed people off Loomly: four tiers with small steps between them, and no forced jump when you add one more account.

Pricing

  • Silver, $21 a month: 5 accounts, 450 posts a month, 1 workspace, analytics, AI post suggestions, API access
  • Gold, $35 a month: 20 accounts, unlimited posts, 5 workspaces, AI-generated posts and hooks, comment replies, 300 GPT-5 credits
  • Platinum, $49 a month: 40 accounts, 10 workspaces, Chrome extension, priority support
  • Enterprise, $79 a month: 100 accounts, 20 workspaces, 10 team seats, post approval workflow, advanced reports, dedicated account manager
  • Annual billing takes 20% off all of them. There’s also a $299 lifetime licence capped at 100 buyers.

SchedPilot vs Loomly, the actual numbers

If you’re a solo user on Loomly Starter paying $65 for 12 accounts, SchedPilot Gold gives you 20 accounts for $35. That’s $360 a year back.

If you’re a team of 4 that got pushed onto Loomly Beyond at $332, SchedPilot Enterprise is $79 for 100 accounts, 10 seats and approvals. That’s $3,036 a year. Loomly Beyond does give you unlimited users and custom branding, so an agency with 15 staff logging in should note the 10-seat cap.

Where SchedPilot falls short

  • No free plan, only a 7-day trial (card required, charged $0, cancel in one click)
  • Team seats and approvals only arrive at Enterprise, so a 2-person team can’t get them for $35
  • No social listening
  • It’s a smaller company than Loomly, which some buyers care about

SchedPilot publishes to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest, which is three networks Loomly currently misses. Pricing is here if you want to run the trial alongside your Loomly account.

2. Planable, if approvals were the whole point

Most people chose Loomly for its approval workflow. Planable is the tool that does that one thing better than anyone, including Loomly.

The four-level approval system (none, optional, required, multi-level) is the best in the category. Stakeholders see a pixel-accurate preview of the post, leave comments in context, and click approve. Approved posts can auto-schedule. Every paid plan includes unlimited users, which is the exact thing Loomly charges $267 extra for.

Pricing

  • Basic: $39 a month per workspace ($33 yearly), 60 posts, 4 social pages
  • Pro: $59 ($49 yearly), 150 posts, 10 pages
  • Analytics add-on $14 per workspace, social inbox add-on $9
  • Free plan: 50 posts total, lifetime, so it’s a demo

The catch

Per-workspace billing. Every brand or client needs its own workspace, so five clients on Basic is $195 a month before add-ons. For a single brand with a slow approval chain, Planable is the right answer. For an agency, run the numbers against SchedPilot Enterprise or SocialPilot before you commit.

3. SocialPilot, the value pick for small agencies

SocialPilot Standard is the closest like-for-like match to Loomly Starter: 10 accounts and 3 users for $40 a month ($34 yearly), against Loomly’s 12 accounts and 3 users for $65 ($49 yearly). You lose two accounts and save roughly 30%.

Pricing

  • Essentials: $20 ($17 yearly), 5 accounts, 1 user
  • Standard: $40 ($34 yearly), 10 accounts, 3 users, approval workflow, social inbox
  • Premium: $100, 20 accounts, 6 users
  • Ultimate: $200, 40 accounts, unlimited users
  • No free plan. 14-day trial, no card.

What you get that Loomly doesn’t

Bulk scheduling up to 500 posts per CSV. White-label client reports. A social inbox on Standard and up. The AI credits on Essentials run out fast if you post daily, which is the main complaint.

The step from Standard to Premium is $60, not $267. That’s the whole argument.

4. Publer, the cheapest way off Loomly

Publer bills per account: $5 for the first, $4 for each one after on Professional. Twelve accounts, matching Loomly Starter, works out to about $49 a month, and every tenth account is free.

What’s in it

  • Free plan: 3 accounts, 10 scheduled posts each, 1 workspace (no X on free)
  • Professional: from $5, bulk CSV import, RSS auto-posting, watermarking
  • Business: from $10, adds AI, analytics, competitor tracking, spintax recycling, API
  • Annual billing gives two months free

Publer’s approval flow is simpler than Loomly’s and only appears on Business. If you’re leaving Loomly for price alone and you’re a solo operator, this is the easiest switch. If you’re leaving for a better approval process, look at Planable instead.

5. Metricool, the free Loomly alternative for one brand

Loomly has no free plan. Metricool does, and it’s a real one.

Free plan

  • 1 brand (all of that brand’s networks count as one unit)
  • 20 posts a month
  • 5 competitor profiles tracked
  • 30 days of analytics
  • LinkedIn and X excluded on free

The Starter plan is about $20 a month for up to 5 brands, lifts the post cap, and adds every network. Metricool is analytics-first, with competitor tracking and reporting that goes deeper than Loomly’s basic analytics at a fraction of the price. Approvals are thinner. If your reason for leaving Loomly is “I’m paying $65 for scheduling and mediocre analytics,” Metricool fixes both.

6. SocialBee, for evergreen recycling

Loomly can’t recycle content. SocialBee is built on it.

You sort posts into categories, give each category a posting schedule, and SocialBee cycles through the library indefinitely. For coaches, consultants and anyone with a back catalogue of tips, it’s the only tool here that does this properly.

Pricing

  • Bootstrap: $29 ($24.17 yearly), 5 profiles, 1 user
  • Accelerate: $49, 10 profiles
  • Pro: $99, 25 profiles, 3 users, 5 workspaces
  • 14-day trial, 30-day money-back guarantee

As a plain scheduler it’s more expensive than SchedPilot or Publer and slower to set up. Buy it for the recycling or skip it.

7. Later, for Instagram-first brands

Later’s grid preview and media library are still the best visual planning tools in the category. If you plan by aesthetic rather than by copy, it’s worth the trade-offs.

Pricing

  • Starter: $25 ($18.75 yearly), 1 social set of 8 profiles, 30 posts per profile per month
  • Growth: $50, 2 sets, 2 users, 180 posts
  • Scale: $110, 6 sets, 4 users, unlimited posts

Two things to know. Later dropped its free plan; it’s a 14-day trial now, despite what older comparison posts say. And the 30-post cap on Starter will bite if you post daily. Approvals exist but are lighter than Loomly’s. We’ve covered Later in more depth in our Buffer alternatives piece.

8. Pallyy, per-brand pricing for multi-network brands

Pallyy charges per brand, not per account. A Social Set holds one profile from each of ten networks, so a single brand running everything is one unit.

Pricing

  • Starter: $15
  • Pro: $25, one brand across every network
  • Agency: $75, several client brands
  • Scale: $199
  • Free: 1 account, 15 posts a month (the weakest free tier on this page)

Client approval workflows and shareable calendars are on every paid plan, which makes Pallyy Agency at $75 a serious option for a small agency that got priced off Loomly Beyond. It’s not competing on analytics depth or listening.

9. Hootsuite, for social listening at $99 a seat

Hootsuite Standard is $99 per user per month for 10 accounts. Professional is $199 with unlimited accounts. Advanced is $399 and is the first tier with team approvals. No free plan.

For a Loomly Starter customer this is a bigger bill, not a smaller one, and three users is $297 before you’ve touched a feature. It earns a spot because brand monitoring, keyword tracking and paid-plus-organic reporting are things Loomly doesn’t do at any price. If that’s what you need, Hootsuite does it. If not, read our Hootsuite alternatives article instead.

10. Sprout Social, if data needs to reach a CRM

Sprout is the enterprise option. Essentials is $79 per seat yearly ($99 monthly) for 5 profiles, Standard $199, Professional $299 with unlimited profiles, Advanced $399 with sentiment analysis and API access. 30-day trial.

What justifies the price

  • The deepest analytics in the category
  • Listening at scale
  • Native HubSpot, Salesforce and Zendesk integrations
  • A unified inbox that actually works for support teams

For a team leaving Loomly over cost, Sprout is the wrong direction. For a team leaving Loomly because it’s too lightweight, it’s the right one. Interestingly, “loomly vs sprout social” is one of the most-searched comparisons for Loomly, which tells you a lot of Loomly customers are already in the second group.

Which Loomly alternative to pick

Solo creator, freelancer or small agency wanting to use AI agents, under 20 accounts: SchedPilot Gold at $35. Nearly half Loomly’s price for more accounts.

Team of 2 to 10 that got pushed onto Beyond: SchedPilot Enterprise at $79, or SocialPilot Premium at $100 if you need 6 seats and a social inbox.

One brand, approval chain is the bottleneck: Planable Pro at $59 with unlimited users.

Agency with 5+ clients: SocialPilot Standard or Premium, or Pallyy Agency at $75. Avoid per-workspace tools like Planable at this scale.

You want free: Metricool for one brand with analytics, Publer for up to 3 accounts with a queue.

Content library on rotation: SocialBee.

Instagram is the job: Later.

You need listening or CRM integration: Hootsuite or Sprout, and budget accordingly.

Before you cancel Loomly

None of these tools import a Loomly calendar. A few things to do first:

  1. Export your content. Loomly’s Standard-and-up plans used to include content export; check whether yours still does before the renewal date.
  2. Pick one channel and run it on the new tool for two weeks alongside Loomly. This is the only way to find out if the approval flow or the Instagram publishing actually works the way you assumed.
  3. Reconnect Instagram carefully. Every scheduler here needs a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook page, and Loomly users have reported Instagram connection problems in 2026 that may or may not follow you.
  4. Screenshot or export analytics. Nothing transfers.
  5. Cancel after the last scheduled post publishes, not before.

If you want to start the parallel test today, SchedPilot’s 7-day trial connects in a couple of minutes and covers the three networks Loomly doesn’t.
