9 Best Taplio Alternatives in 2026, Compared on Price and Whether LinkedIn Will Ban You

By Andrei Last updated: September 8, 2026 11 min read

The best Taplio alternative for most people in 2026 is SchedPilot, which schedules to LinkedIn and eight other networks through official APIs for $21 to $35 a month, against Taplio’s $39 for scheduling alone or $69 before you get any AI writing. Supergrow is the pick if AI-drafted LinkedIn posts are the whole point. AuthoredUp is the best editor and analytics tool for people who write their own posts. Buffer is free for up to 3 channels.

Kleo is the one everyone asks about, and at $99 a month with no trial it’s the hardest to recommend.

Every price here was checked in the first week of September 2026. Taplio restructured its plans in 2026, so anything quoting a “Solo” or “Team” tier is describing a product that no longer exists.

What Taplio actually costs in 2026

Taplio sells three plans, priced per LinkedIn account:

  • Starter: $39 a month, $32 on annual. Scheduling, the viral post library, basic analytics, carousel builder. Zero AI credits.
  • Growth: $69 a month, $49 annual. 250 AI credits and 500 comment credits per month. This is the cheapest plan that writes anything for you.
  • Pro: $199 a month, $149 annual. Unlimited AI, a 3-million-contact lead database, auto-DMs and auto-connection requests.
  • 7-day trial with full Pro access. 30-day money-back guarantee. No free plan.

The two things most comparisons miss

First, the $39 plan is a LinkedIn-only scheduler with no AI. The AI post generator, hook writer and carousel AI that Taplio’s marketing leads with start at $69. If you came for the AI, your real entry price is 77% higher than the homepage number.

Second, Growth’s 250 credits run out. Heavy users report burning through them mid-month, and there’s no way to buy more without jumping to Pro at $199. That’s a 3x step with nothing in between.

Is Taplio a good tool?

For a sales professional whose pipeline comes from LinkedIn and who wants outreach, scheduling and content in one place, yes. For a creator who posts on LinkedIn and two or three other networks, it’s an expensive single-platform tool. And for anyone whose LinkedIn account is a professional asset they can’t afford to lose, the Pro plan’s auto-DM and auto-connect features are the problem, which brings us to the part of this comparison that changed in 2026.

Why account safety is now the main filter

LinkedIn spent 2025 and 2026 shutting down tools that work by scraping its interface through Chrome extensions:

  • Kleo’s free Chrome extension, with 70,000 users, was forced offline by a cease-and-desist in early 2026.
  • Shield Analytics shut down in May 2026.
  • Taplio’s Pro plan automation (auto-DMs, bulk connection requests) operates outside the official API, and LinkedIn’s enforcement has targeted exactly that behaviour.

The safe architecture is simple to describe. Tools that publish through LinkedIn’s official API (OAuth login, no extension, no scraping) are inside the terms of service. Tools that inject into the LinkedIn page through a browser extension are in a grey zone LinkedIn has tolerated so far and may not tolerate next quarter. Tools that automate DMs and connection requests are outside the terms and carry documented ban risk.

Every tool below is labelled with which of those three it is.

1. SchedPilot, LinkedIn plus eight other networks for less than Taplio Starter

SchedPilot is our tool, so weigh this section accordingly. It’s first because it solves the two Taplio problems most people have at once: it’s cheaper, and it publishes through official APIs. On top of that supports MCP and API for ai agents, and of course, besides Linkedin, it supports other platforms like X(Twitter), Youtube, instagram, pinterest, youtube, tiktok , blue sky

Pricing

  • Silver: $21 a month. 5 accounts, 450 posts, analytics, AI post suggestions, API access.
  • Gold: $35 a month. 20 accounts, unlimited posts, AI-generated posts and hooks, comment and post replies, 300 GPT-5 credits.
  • Platinum: $49 a month. 40 accounts, Chrome extension for capturing content, priority support.
  • Enterprise: $79 a month. 100 accounts, 10 team seats, approval workflow.
  • Annual billing takes 20% off. A $299 lifetime licence exists, capped at 100 buyers.

SchedPilot vs Taplio

  • Taplio Starter, $39, LinkedIn only, no AI. SchedPilot Silver, $21, nine networks, AI suggestions and analytics included.
  • Taplio Growth, $69, 250 AI credits. SchedPilot Gold, $35, AI posts and hooks with 300 GPT-5 credits, plus 20 accounts.
  • Taplio publishes via a browser extension and, on Pro, automates outreach. SchedPilot connects through LinkedIn’s official OAuth and posts through the API. There’s nothing to get banned for.

Where Taplio still wins

  • The viral post library and the LinkedIn Benchmark dataset. SchedPilot doesn’t have an equivalent research database.
  • Lead generation. SchedPilot has no contact database and no outreach features, on purpose.
  • LinkedIn-specific analytics depth. SchedPilot’s analytics cover all networks and are shallower on LinkedIn alone.

If you post on LinkedIn and anywhere else, this is the tool to trial first. Our LinkedIn post scheduler page covers the LinkedIn side specifically, and pricing is here.

2. Supergrow, the closest AI-writing match at a third of the price

Supergrow is what most people mean when they say “a cheaper Taplio.” It’s LinkedIn-first, AI-first, and publishes through the official API rather than an extension.

Pricing

  • Starter: $19 a month, $12 annual. AI writing, scheduling, carousels, Kanban content board.
  • Pro: $39 a month. More AI, multiple accounts.
  • Agency: $139 a month. Client workspaces.
  • 7-day trial, no free plan.

What it does well

  • AI that learns your writing style and improves with use, with no credit gating on any paid plan
  • Voice-to-post and repurposing from YouTube videos, blog posts and PDFs
  • Auto first-comment scheduling
  • Team plan with approval workflows

What it doesn’t

No viral post database, no lead generation, and it’s LinkedIn plus X only. If you want Taplio’s AI drafting without Taplio’s price or extension, this is the answer. If you want the research library, it isn’t.

3. AuthoredUp, the best editor for people who write their own posts

AuthoredUp is the opposite bet from Taplio. Instead of generating content, it makes your own writing land: rich formatting, a 300-plus hook and ending library, exact post previews, and the deepest post-level analytics in the category. It added an AI writer called Coauthor in 2026, though most reviews still say it has none.

Pricing

  • Individual: $19.95 a month, $16.63 annual. Unlimited company pages.
  • Business: $14.95 per profile monthly, $12.46 annual, three-profile minimum.
  • 14-day trial, no card. No free plan.

The caveat

It runs as a Chrome extension, Chromium browsers only, and publishes to LinkedIn only. Its extension sits in the same category LinkedIn shut Kleo’s down for. AuthoredUp has been careful and hasn’t drawn enforcement, but you should know the architecture before you build a workflow on it.

4. Buffer, the free Taplio alternative

If Taplio’s $39 Starter is just a LinkedIn scheduler with analytics, Buffer does the scheduling part for free.

Pricing

  • Free: 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts each
  • Essentials: $6 per channel monthly, $5 annual
  • Team: $12 per channel monthly. Unlimited users, approvals.
  • Official API on every network. 11 networks.

Buffer vs Taplio

Buffer has an AI assistant on paid plans, but nothing like Taplio’s LinkedIn-tuned generator, no hook library, no research database and shallow analytics. It’s on this list because a lot of Taplio Starter customers are paying $39 for scheduling they could get for free. Our Buffer alternatives article covers where Buffer itself gets expensive.

5. Publer, per-account pricing with bulk tools

Publer is Buffer’s closest rival on price and beats it on features for the money.

Pricing

  • Free: 3 accounts, 10 scheduled posts each. No X.
  • Professional: $5 for the first account, $4 each after. Unlimited posts, bulk CSV, RSS auto-posting. No analytics.
  • Business: $10 for the first account, $7 each after. Adds analytics, unlimited AI, competitor tracking.
  • Annual billing 20% off. Official API.

Publer is a general scheduler, not a LinkedIn growth tool. It’s here for the same reason as Buffer: if you were paying Taplio for scheduling, this costs a fifth as much and posts to 12 networks.

6. MagicPost, the cheap AI writing layer

MagicPost is a LinkedIn AI writer with a lower entry price than Supergrow and a heavier lean on rewriting existing content into LinkedIn posts.

Pricing

  • $21 a month entry, $39 for the higher tier
  • Limited free usage to test

It’s a writing tool first, with scheduling attached, and it doesn’t match AuthoredUp’s analytics or Supergrow’s style learning. If your budget for AI drafting is under $25 and you’ll publish through something else, it’s the cheapest credible option.

7. Typegrow, free plan for creators who post visuals

Typegrow targets people who post carousels and image-led content on LinkedIn. It has a real free plan, which none of the LinkedIn-specialist tools above can say.

Pricing

  • Free plan with limits
  • Pro: $29 a month, $20 annual

Carousel and visual generation are the reason to pick it. Text-only posters get more from Supergrow or AuthoredUp at similar prices.

8. Postbeam, for teams and employee advocacy

Postbeam is LinkedIn-native and built for companies rather than solo creators. It adds employee advocacy (push approved posts to staff to share), warm-lead detection from engagement, and an AI writer, all through the official API.

Pricing

  • Solo: $49 a month
  • Teams: $39 per user per month, two-user minimum
  • Done-for-you tier: $499 per user per month

More expensive than Taplio Starter, cheaper than Taplio Pro, and the only tool on this page with advocacy built in. A marketing team of five running a founder’s account and their own is the buyer.

9. Kleo, the one people ask about, now $99 with no trial

Kleo was the free Chrome extension that let you study top LinkedIn creators’ posts. LinkedIn shut it down in early 2026. It relaunched as Kleo 3.0, a web app that writes posts in your voice with persistent memory, a deep template library and coaching.

Pricing

  • One plan: $99 a month, or $999 a year
  • Unlimited AI post generation, 20 graphics a month
  • No free plan, no free trial, 30-day money-back guarantee

Kleo vs Taplio

Kleo is now more expensive than Taplio Growth and has no research database, no analytics to speak of, and no scheduling comparable to Taplio’s. What it has is arguably the best AI voice model in the category and a community. For a solo personal-brand creator posting daily with the budget, it’s defensible. For everyone else, Supergrow does most of it for $19 and lets you try it first.

Which Taplio alternative to pick

You post on LinkedIn and other networks: SchedPilot Gold at $35. Nine networks, AI hooks, official API.

You want AI-drafted LinkedIn posts, cheapest safe option: Supergrow Starter at $19.

You write your own posts and want the best editor and analytics: AuthoredUp at $19.95, with the extension caveat understood.

You were paying Taplio Starter just to schedule: Buffer free, or Publer from $5.

You post carousels and visuals: Typegrow, free to start.

A team running several people’s LinkedIn accounts: Postbeam at $39 per user, or SchedPilot Enterprise at $79 for 10 seats.

You need the viral post database and lead outreach: stay on Taplio. Nothing else bundles both, and if you accept the automation risk on Pro, that’s what it’s for.

Before you switch

None of these tools import a Taplio queue, and Taplio’s own analytics history stays in Taplio. A few practical steps:

  1. Export any drafts and scheduled posts from Taplio before cancelling. Cancellation is self-serve under Settings then Billing.
  2. If you were on Pro, stop the auto-DM and auto-connect features a couple of weeks before you switch so your account activity normalises.
  3. Connect the new tool via LinkedIn OAuth. If a tool asks for your LinkedIn password or a session cookie, close the tab.
  4. Run both for one week. Post the same content through each and compare reach; LinkedIn treats API-published posts and native posts the same, but you’ll want to see that for yourself.
  5. Let the Taplio queue drain before the billing date rather than cancelling with posts still scheduled.

If you want to run that parallel test today, SchedPilot’s 7-day trial connects LinkedIn in under a minute through the official API.
